The Legend of the Heat
The festival is infamous for the sweltering weather. Temperatures outside reached 104°F, but due to the black tarp covering the football field, temperatures on the stadium floor reached an estimated 120°F. Stadium security and stage crews repeatedly sprayed the crowd down with fire hoses to prevent mass heat stroke.Ā
